The Colorado Town of Westminster is Investing in Nature Play
Scraped elbows and bumped knees are notorious marks of childhood — earned during sunny afternoons spent climbing trees and splashing in creeks. In a time when playing video games trumps riding bicycles, and watching TV beats building tree houses for many kids, the city of Westminster is looking to bring children back to nature by bringing nature to them.

As part of a comprehensive plan formed in 2006 that includes a drainage and flood control project for Little Dry Creek, the city welcomed the Westminster Station RTD B-Line last July at 3200 Westminster Station Drive near 70th Avenue and Federal Boulevard.
