Wisconsin School District Resources: Recreational Use of School Property
Analysis of an agreement that permits community recreational use of school property
Recreational use agreements are becoming a popular strategy for schools and community partners to increase access to opportunities for physical activity. With increased access to schoolyards and facilities comes increased demand for for community consensus about appropriate use. Statewide organizations collaboratively developed a sample recreational agreement, facility use form, reference checklist, and fact sheet that detail the liability protection provided by recreational agreements.
