This art exhibit is an opportunity for you and your children/students to discuss, learn, and challenge critical issues related to nature access and racial and environmental justice and imagine a nature-filled and just future!
All kids deserve to be healthy—and have fun—in nature. Finding the words to talk to kids about social and environmental justice can be challenging. To help, we’ve created a toolkit with age-appropriate resources so you can support children in understanding how race, prejudice and income can affect some children’s access to nature. We invite you to explore the resources below to help your children understand the world they live in and share their vision to create the just, nature-filled world we wish to see.

The Children & Nature Network envisions a world where all children—regardless of race, income, zip code or physical ability—have safe, regular access to the benefits of nature. We are committed to working with our partners and children and nature leaders to dismantle systems of injustice that have impacted the design and distribution of green spaces. We invite young people to creatively reimagine a world in which every child can benefit from nature access and outdoor experiences where they live, learn, and play.
