Welcome to The Trailhead
The Trailhead is a vibrant online community managed by the Children & Nature Network. It is free and open to all champions for children and nature.
It is your place to:
- Connect with peers across the world and grow your network
- Join the global community of changemakers working to increase equitable access to nature
- Learn, lead and increase your impact by sharing resources, stories, events and opportunities
On The Trailhead, you’ll find a variety of groups where you can connect with people who share your interests, such as green schoolyards, policy and the public sector, and early childhood development and learning. We invite you to take a look around and join the groups that appeal to you so that you can network and share resources with like-minded advocates for the children and nature movement.

The Trailhead is also home to public networking groups for attendees of our annual Inside-Out Conference and champions of the #NatureForAll initiative, as well as private groups that facilitate conversation and collaboration among project cohorts.
In addition to groups, The Trailhead has a job board, where organizations share career opportunities to further the movement for children and nature. Check it out for the latest jobs and volunteer opportunities — just log into your account to view!
And if your organization has a job or volunteer opportunity to share, we encourage you to post it on The Trailhead — you’ll reach a select group of dedicated leaders.

Once you’re on The Trailhead, click on People to access The Trailhead’s map, where you can find and connect with people nearby — or on the other side of the globe! You can also find upcoming events shared by Trailhead members by perusing your Timeline or visiting the Events section of the platform.
Hundreds of children and nature champions from around the world use The Trailhead.
You can access The Trailhead online at www.childrenandnature.org/trailhead, or via our mobile app. To find the app, simply search the App Store for “The Trailhead” and look for our green Trailhead logo.
It’s easy and free to join The Trailhead — all you need to get started is a name and email address.
